MENTAL HEALTH PRACTITIONER
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a Medical Centre Team in an Independent School in Rutland. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Mental Health Practitioner who can help to assess and support children and young people aged 10-18 who need help to cope with a range of difficulties, including mental health issues. As well as individual work (both supporting the pupils and assessments), there is scope to become involved in developing innovative new ways to benefit the school in promoting positive mental health and developing preventative strategies.
You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, which consists of a Clinical Psychologist, GP, School nurses and key pastoral and teaching staff. There will be regular meetings and liaison work with other staff and health professionals. We would like the successful candidate to have experience working for CAMHS.
There is some flexibility with hours and days to suit; as a guide, 21-25 hours per week, spread over three to five weekdays, term time (32 weeks) plus two additional weeks (to include training School staff at Inset before term starts and to give some flexibility in term time). Full details are available on our website. To apply, please send cover letter and application form (available from our website or on request) by email (preferred) or post to:
