Palliative care is a complex and evolving field of medicine, which offers regular challenges and opportunities for personal development. There has never been a better time to work in end of life care. The range of services and support available to patients and their families is wider than it has ever been. Being an integral part of the skilled Multi-Disciplinary Team makes this an extremely rewarding role.

You will be responsible for coordinating and delivering care to patients with life limiting illnesses, implementing and evaluating their programmes of care. You will monitor symptom control issues, and support patients in developing coping strategies for living with symptoms. You will also be a lifeline for those closest to the patient, providing emotional and psychological support and referring to other teams within the Hospice.

Full or part-time will be considered. There is a blended shift pattern of early's (7am to 3 pm), Lates, 11.30 am to 7.30 pm), long days (7 am to 7.30 pm) and nights (7 pm to 7.30 am). Part-time roles will be a minimum of two shifts per week.
