About the Job

Care UK has been awarded a new contract for the delivery of Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) services across Suffolk and North East Essex. This means that we will be delivering urgent care through NHS 111, utilising GPs and specialist clinicians to deliver the best possible urgent care services 24/7, 365 days per year, to over 1 million patients in the region. To deliver this vision we wish to appoint a Patient and Stakeholder Engagement Lead – someone who ideally has a clinical background and will be responsible for the development and delivery of an Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) engagement strategy. This is a key local, mid-senior role working alongside other IUC colleagues, to develop local IUC strategy, innovation and service improvement for National IUC models. As the Patient and Stakeholder Engagement Led, you’ll maintain strong and ongoing working relationships with external stakeholders, including CCG’s, NHSE, NHS Pathways local OOH services and other specialist providers to ensure we are delivering against our national objectives. This is an exciting new opportunity to make a difference to patients, simplifying the way that they can access urgent care to get the right treatment in the right place at the right time.

About Care UK

Care UK was founded in 1982. Today our healthcare services include treatment centres, GP practices, NHS walk-in centres, GP out-of-hours, prison health services and clinical assessment and diagnostics facilities. Care UK is the largest independent provider of urgent care services in England incorporating out of hours, single point of access and referral management. We deliver excellent, high value patient care on behalf of the NHS for over eight million patients across England. We work with the NHS to deliver high quality healthcare services, reducing waiting times and giving the patient a greater level of choice. We also take healthcare services closer to where people live and work – increasing the efficiency and quality of the services we deliver and helping to reduce waiting times.
