Job Details

CRG Medical Services is a rapidly growing business working with police forces across the UK to delivering care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our healthcare professionals provide first class assessments and interventions to detainees in police custody. We also assist the police in conducting forensic medical examinations and gathering evidence for use in the criminal justice system.

CRG Medical Services is seeking dedicated Clinical Lead to head-up a team of skilled clinicians and provide care to detained persons held in police custody in Derbyshire.

The role includes:

  • Managing service delivery and key stakeholder relationships
  • Lead a team of Forensic Clinicians, following the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 and CRG Medical Services policies and procedures.
  • Provide, manage and measure training and appraisals.
  • Lead on issues relating to staff employment, induction, retention, performance, appraisal, absence, discipline and grievances
  • Managing the Clinical Governance agenda and maintaining compliance standards
  • Support with the assessment and treatment of detainees
  • Promoting drug rehabilitation therapies whilst in custody
  • Healthcare promotion
  • Mental health and substance misuse assessments
  • Forensic sampling
  • Sexual Assault Victim Assessments (in some contracts)
  • Trail blazing inter agency engagement correctly sign posting detainees to reduce reoffending

    To apply for the role you’ll need:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ service as a Registered General Nurse/Paramedic
  • Previous experience in a management or supervisory role.
  • Full membership of the NMC/HCPC
  • Unplanned care experience
  • Strong decision making skills
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • A full UK driving licence
