About the roles

Working in Critical Care, our Band 5 Nurse 26,682 - £34,049) will provide and maintain a high standard of care to individual clients. You will also assist with the education and supervision of nursing students, learners and other staff and offer valuable support to senior staff members.

Our Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse (£32,258 - £41,308) will be based in the Neurosciences ITU / HDU department, where you will provide holistic nursing care to clients, utilising all resources to provide excellence in practice. You will also take regular charge of the shift in the absence of a Senior Sister/Sister, provide support to the senior nursing staff, plus bedside teaching and mentorship to junior colleagues.

 

About you

You must be a registered nurse (for the Band 6 role, you will have a minimum of 18 months’ experience in Neuro Sciences/Critical Care) able to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team. You will have excellent critical thinking and communication skills, both oral and written, while a commitment to continuing educational development is vital.

Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT) is one of the largest acute trusts in North East London and has more than 900 beds on 43 wards.
