Job Details

An exciting opportunity has arisen within South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust for experienced clinicians to join our Integrated Urgent Care Service as Triage Clinicians based at the East Clinical Hub, St. Leonards, Dorset. Full training is provided on the telephone triage and NHS Pathways system.  Candidates must currently be registered with either the NMC (Nurse) or the HCPC (Paramedic).

You will perform a telephone triage assessment for patients contacting the IUC service and support call advisors who take the initial calls. You will manage calls from Healthcare Professionals and support Urgent Care/NHS 111 Call Advisors who answer initial calls from the public.

We offer fantastic opportunities for training and development, including an annual development day, and Continuous Quality Improvement course to audit and support peers. You will act as the Clinical Team Leader for the shift whilst on duty, supporting the multi-disciplinary team and offering clinical advice where necessary.

There is a range of rota patterns available covering 24/7, these will be discussed with you in detail at interview. Once experienced in the role, there are opportunities to work remotely (from home).
