Salary: £23,023 – £29,608 per annum
Description: This is an exciting and rewarding time to join an incredible team who are finalising the build of their brand new state of the art hospice to add to their already impressive facilities. It will incorporate 16 in-patient bedrooms, increase day hospice services, additional family support and beautifully landscaped gardens and grounds. It will soon be bringing together a range of specialist services to support people through the journey of their illness, and as the end of their life approaches.
As a charity, their care is completely free of charge and their aim is to make every day count, and to make the journey as comfortable as possible. They provide specialist care for adults, from the age of 19, with life-limiting illnesses such as cancer, motor neurone Disease, Parkinson’s, cardiac disease, muscular dystrophy and neurological conditions.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a passionate multi-disciplinary team, supporting patients and families who are affected by life limiting illness. The new unit will create a friendly environment to facilitate choice in care and decision making. It’ll provide support for people at all stages of their journey - inside the hospice, within the community or their own home - and care for their family and friends making this journey with them.
Person Specification: A registered general nurse (RN) with minimum of 1 years post qualification experience who is registered with the NMC. Previous palliative care experience is highly desirable and ability to work well within a team is essential.
