We are looking for a passionate and driven Case Manager - Patient Safety & Quality to take up this senior post based at Noble's Hospital in the Isle of Man.

About the post

This role is key to ensuring robust patient safety and quality processes are in place, to facilitate improved standards of care for patients and their families on the Island.

You will be responsible for the day to day management of investigating and processing complaints claims, inquests, and incidents, providing support and advice to senior clinicians, managers and regularly liaise with advocates and the Coroner’s office. 

You will lead on investigation of serious untoward incidents; this will include the coordination of appropriate clinicians and managers and organising serious untoward panel meetings. It will also include coordinating the production of root cause analysis repots with clear lessons learned and improvement actions identified using template documents. You will also provide expert clinical risk and clinical governance advice and training, in line with current legislation and best practice guidance.

Who are we looking for?

You must be an enthusiastic and motivated self-starter, capable of managing your own case load. We are looking for someone who will work in collaboration within our team and with senior staff across the hospital to benefit patient and staff.

You will need to be a registered healthcare professional with five years’ experience working at a ward senior level within a broad-base clinical background. For more information please see the attached job profile.

Relocation and Interview expenses

Interview expenses and a relocation package of up to £7,000 based on receipts is available for this role.  Housing Assistance is also available and this role also qualifies for a recruitment incentive of £3,000 which will be payable in the 1st, 13th, and 25th months of employment.

Newly opened in 2003 Noble’s Hospital is the islands’ only District General Hospital. It is equipped to the very latest standards with a total complement of 317 beds. We provide a comprehensive range of services typical of most District General Hospitals including acute medicine, general & orthopaedic surgery, maternity, paediatrics, SCBU, ITU & CCU. There is also a stroke unit and thrombolysis is performed on a 24/7 basis in ED.

We have a combined education & training centre on site with a medical library, seminar rooms, lecture theatre and state of the art simulation suite.
