0.4 FTE – Part time (Wednesdays essential, other day negotiable)

Fixed Term - January 2019 Until January 2022

You will be an established paramedic, practice nurse, community nurse, or other relevant community focused health care practitioner wishing to further your academic career in medical education.

Duties will include the delivery of sessions for medical students and community healthcare practitioners including GPs, in a small group teaching environment; support for curriculum change; quality assurance of the CBME elements of the MB ChB programme and you will be encouraged to support and participate in scholarly activity and/or research related to Medical Education.  

You will be expected to have excellent communication and organisational skills to manage and support a group of community placement providers in their delivery of undergraduate medical education.  In addition to this you will be required to recruit new placement providers and promoting medical education within a CCG.

You will have a nursing or equivalent health professional degree, be registered with the nursing and midwifery council (or equivalent body) and are able to practise in the UK.  You will be keen to gain or already possess experience in academic Primary Care and Medical Education.
