Then YOU are what we’re looking for in Neurosciences and Theatres at the Leeds General Infirmary.

We want you to be part of our nursing and perioperative teams to provide our patients with the best care possible.

We have a number of wards and departments caring for acutely injured patients and those requiring elective surgery. We will support you to work within your chosen department or a rotational post across our specialties, to truly develop fundamental and specialist nursing and perioperative skills. You will be required to demonstrate and embrace the values that are the embodiment of the Leeds Way.

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals who can demonstrate a passion for delivering the highest standard of compassionate care. We can offer you a friendly working environment and the opportunity to further advance your skills. We will identify your learning needs and provide a comprehensive support and development program to help you reach your potential. Newly qualified nurses and ODPs will be supported through our preceptorship and competency based training programmes.

Neurosciences:

Our regional Neurosciences Clinical Service Unit includes acute stroke, stroke rehabilitation, neurosurgery including high observation beds and neurology services. We have strong multidisciplinary teams who work closely together to provide acute therapeutic care and rehabilitation enabling patients to reach their potential.

Theatres:

The Neurosurgical Operating Theatre is nationally renowned for performing complex neurosurgical and spinal procedures in both adults and paediatrics. Annually we perform approx. 2,000 procedures in a busy 24/7 theatre suite.
