Job Description

Based in the Roodlane Medical offices across London, the role of the Medical Technician will be to carry out diagnostic screening tests for medical screening appointments, ensuring complete and accurate data input and patient information is entered onto the Roodlane systems and passed to the doctor in charge. Participation in health promotion events and corporate health days are also part of the role.

This is a full time role working 37.5hrs per week

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate's duties would be as follows, but not limited to:

  • To conduct body composition, audiometry, spirometry and vision screenings, 3D body scans and bone density analysis
  • To perform mid-stream urine profile testing
  • To conduct resting and exercise ECGs
  • To conduct alcohol breath analysis, urine drug tests and chain of custody appointments
  • Calibrate all diagnostic testing equipment daily, keeping equipment well maintained and report any technical faults immediately to the manager
  • Daily checks – Log fridge temperatures twice per day and check the defibrillator is working

Skills & Experience

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject (i.e Biomedical Science/Physiology/Sport Science)
  • Experience with ECGs is desirable but not essential
  • Previous phlebotomy training is desirable but not essential
  • Methodical and organised approach
  • Attentive to detail
