Our Outpatients department offers a wide range of services and practice at the leading edge of medicine and provides flexible consulting options, as well as a range of support services and we continually re-invest in our facilities to deliver world-class private medical care. Our outpatient department at comprises 17 consulting rooms, three treatment rooms, one colposcopy room and a plaster room. 

We are currently recruiting for a Staff Nurse in the Outpatients Department

Job Description

As a Staff Nurse you will be involved in all aspects of running a high performing service that delivers excellent customer service to our patients. Your main role will see you working closely with our consultants, supporting them in consultations by taking blood, dressings and injections. However you will also be involved in updating clinic sheets, answering queries from patients, consultants and secretaries and booking consultant rooms.

This is a full time role working 37.5hrs per week (working shifts between the hours of 8am – 8pm Monday - Friday).

Salary range for this role is £31,972-£35,169 per annum depending on experience Plus Benefits

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan and deliver care to meet patient and family needs
  • Undertake extended roles such as phlebotomy, dressing and injections
  • Chaperoning and assisting medical staff
  • Deputise for senior staff in their absence, demonstrating leadership and management
  • Supervise and direct junior staff, promoting a learning environment
  • Respect and ensure patients privacy and confidentiality
  • Fully document all aspects of patient care and maintain accurate records
  • Provide patients and families with information regarding care and management of their condition

Skills & Experience

  •  Registered General Nurse with post graduate experience.
  •  Proven outpatient experience.
  •  Motivated and forward thinking individual with excellent communication skills.
  •  Good time management and prioritisation skills.
  •  Phlebotomy training
