Set in the South Atlantic, the Falkland Islands’ King Edward VII Memorial Hospital (KEMH) is looking for new colleagues to join our existing team of friendly and experienced professionals.  KEMH has 29 beds and provides in-patient care to all patients needing admission, whether new-borns or adults, residents or visiting tourists and foreign nationals. The hospital’s caseload includes those with serious illnesses, trauma, coronary conditions, mental health problems, maternity, emergency and elective surgery, palliative and terminal care.

Community Psychiatric Nurse: 

As a qualified mental health / psychiatric nurse,  this post holder will assist with the provision of our generic community psychiatric service which contributes to the promotion of the emotional and mental wellbeing within the Falkland Islands community.  You will have a relevant degree (or equivalent) enabling registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)/ Psychiatric Nurse in the UK (or equivalent overseas qualifications) and 3 years post-registration experience as a community mental health / psychiatric nurse.

The Package

Salary: ££ Competitive (starting salaries will depend on qualifications and experience).

Other Benefits: Includes eligibility for a 25% end of contract gratuity set against a favourable tax regime, in addition to relocation and flight package, and 41 days leave (inclusive of public holidays).

Contract Type: Fixed term appointments up to 4 years, with the possibility of extension by mutual agreement.
