Opportunities for a Endoscopy trained Nurse at our Nottingham Treatment Centre

About Circle

Circle Health is a company that runs hospitals and health services in the UK. We were founded in 2004, and we are different to most healthcare organisations we build independent hospitals which pioneered five-star hospitality in the UK, and we’re the only organisation running some innovative types of work in the NHS, like our Bedfordshire musculoskeletal contract.

The Nottingham NHS Treatment Centre is the largest day-case centre in Europe. It operates under a Standard Acute Contract, providing a wide range of outpatient, inpatient, diagnostic and therapeutic services. It is the only independent sector facility in the UK to offer teaching and research, including pre and post-graduate medical, nursing and AHP training.

Role & Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity to join the nursing team in a JAG accredited endoscopy unit. There are 4 procedure rooms and endoscopy is undertaken Monday to Friday am, pm and evening lists during the hours of 0730 to 2100. Diagnostic and therapeutic lower and upper GI endoscopy is undertaken. The unit has single sex admission and recovery areas providing privacy and dignity for patients undergoing invasive procedures. There is a designated discharge lounge allowing patients an opportunity to be supported prior to discharge.

Saturday endoscopy sessions take place once every 4 weeks 0800 to 1800. We do not work night shifts or Sundays. Overtime is always available.

The nursing role is to support all areas of the patient journey from admission and consent to assisting the Endoscopist in the procedure room to recovery and discharge of patients.

As a JAG accredited unit there is specific attention to the quality of care and patient experience and if you are motivated and have a desire to gain new experiences or further expand your knowledge of endoscopy nursing then we look forward to hearing from you.

Company

We help nurses and allied health professionals develop their careers in an exciting and encouraging environment.

Our hospitals and rehabilitation centres are high-tech facilities in purpose-built buildings, all built in the last decade or so. We’re passionate about providing the best patient experience, so we rethought how hospitals should work: our hospitals are much more peaceful and comfortable that people normally expect – patients say they feel like hotels.

We’ve always believed in creating a culture of partnership where each staff member is empowered and feels able to make a real difference, where the best management ideas from other sectors are added to best practice in healthcare, and where patients come first, above all else.

Circle Health is known for its innovation and culture. Because of these, our facilities attract some of the very best nurses and allied healthcare professionals. And we believe passionately in quality: all of Circle’s hospitals are rated “good” by the Care Quality Commission and our hospitals have, for example, never had a case of hospital-acquired MRSA.

So if you’d like to take then next step on your career, have a look at our roles on offer and take the opportunity to apply online.
