Permanent, Full-Time | £33,000 - £39,000 per annum

We’re looking for Deputy Service Managers for two of our hospices at Milton in Cambridgeshire and Quidenham in Norfolk (relocation due June 2019 to our new hospice, the nook, near Poringland, Norwich).

Is this the right opportunity for you?

  • You’re a highly motivated professional with operational management experience of a children’s service.
  • You’re looking for a new challenge to develop your skills and knowledge.
  • You want to be part of an enthusiastic, progressive and forward thinking multi-professional team.
  • You’re committed to providing the highest possible standard of care and support to children and their families.

The role

As a Deputy Service Manager at EACH, you will be responsible for the operational management of delivering high quality palliative care services and contribute to the strategic development of our care service by leading on designated pieces of work. You will lead and line manage a team of multi-professional team leaders, coordinating the staffing resource, including preparation of duty rotas for all sessions of care and activities. You will also deputise for the locality EACH Service Manager when required.

The rewards

Extraordinary care management demands equal rewards, so while the work brings its own special fulfilment, we also make sure that the package and conditions we offer are competitive. As a values driven organisation with a national and international reputation, the package you’ll receive includes a competitive salary, NHS pension if you’re already contributing, extensive development and training opportunities, a flexible work-life balance, and generous annual leave entitlement. Our hospice environment also offers free parking, tranquil surroundings and subsidised meals.

“It’s just an amazing experience. Some of these families, you’ve known for a really long time. For me, to be there, and be there for that child and their family, makes me want to do my job even more.” Amanda

“Working in children’s palliative care is the best thing I’ve done in my life.” Francis
