What you'll be doing

We are looking for an experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our Angiography Team here at the Bupa Cromwell Hospital. We need someone who can be responsible for the assessment and direct delivery of care and assist in all procedures as appropriate. From time to time, you will be expected to deputise for the Angiography Head of Department and lead by example, showing sound clinical judgement and support for your colleagues. You will also be expected to partake in the departments on-call roster.

What's a typical day?

  • To ensure that clinical and administrative procedures are adhered to, and are in line with Hospital policy.
  • To ensure that the patient has the correct Integrated Care Pathway, (ICP ), and that the ICP is correctly used and signed and care plans correctly written, updated and evaluated and include all relevant information for each patient.
  • To assist in monitoring nursing standards, ensuring that the appropriate care is being given, and that safe standards of practice are maintained
  • Liaise with the medical team and all other health care professional to ensure appropriate patient care management.
  • To respond to the Consultant users requirements with flexibility and empathy, always maintaining a safe service.
  • Contribute to regular unit discussions assisting in the identification of problems and their solutions.
  • Maintain all appropriate nursing and patient records and documentation.
  • Participate and contribute to on-going staff training and assist with the orientation of new staff within the department
Who we're looking for?

  • Registered Nurse with NMC Pin
  • Mentorship course would be desirable
  • Appropriate experience working in a Nursing role within a Cardiac and Radiology Interventional setting
  • Good communicator/ interpersonal skills.
  • Good verbal and written skills.
  • Problem solving/decision making.
  • Caring, confident, competent, discreet, assertive, compassionate, and sensitive.
