The Radiography service at The Lister Hospital Campus covers a full range of modalities, including; MRI, CT, XRay, Fluoroscopy, interventional radiography, mammography/tomoscopy (1 stop breast clinic), ultrasound. The team rotate across all campus sites dependent upon service and patient needs and our radiographers work across all modalities ensuring they maintain and develop their knowledge and skills.

Job Description

As the Senior Radiographer you will be responsible for delivering a high standard of diagnostic imaging to all service users, ensuring clinical safety and facilitating a high standard of patient care. As well as the day to day responsibilities you will also be encouraged to take on other projects outside of the day to day routine to ensure the continuous improvement and development of the service.

This is a full time role working 37.5hrs per week (covering a variety of shifts between 8am-8pm, Monday to Friday and 9am-1pm on a Saturday – there is also a requirement to cover our oncall service).

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operate imaging equipment in accordance with operational procedures and guidelines
  • Maintain high professional imaging standards in high quality patient care
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of systems of work, quality assurance procedures and protocols.
  • Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to support and participate in a team approach to problem solving
  • Respond appropriately to all enquiries and complaints, escalating to a manager where necessary
  • Assist the Consultant Radiologists in the performance of their examinations.
  • Rotate between various Lister location as and when required
  • Carry out other duties at the request of the Superintendent or Centre Manager

Skills & Experience

For this role, you will have substantial previous experience across a number of modalities within either a private or NHS setting, ideally with an element of CT. It is also desirable that you do have some UK experience.
