Receive an annual salary of up to £42,000 depending on experience. You’ll get a number of benefits including a company contributory pension scheme, 25 days annual leave plus 8 public bank holidays plus CPD and re-validation support. What are we looking for in you?

As a Registered Nurse you’ll be an integral part of the senior team at HMP The Verne, bringing your well-developed clinical skills, passion for care and leadership skills. With plenty of primary care experience, you will be leading from the front, keeping your skills sharp by delivering some clinics directly and developing knowledge with the team to continually improve the care for men at HMP The Verne. This is a leadership role and with your team leaders you will model a culture of compassion, care, courage, commitment, communication and competence. The role will include providing challenge, support and mentorship at point of delivery, drawing the best from our staff and improving the quality of care received by men at HMP The Verne. As the Clinical Lead at HMP The Verne you will be innovative, bringing fresh ideas and solutions to the challenges of proving healthcare in a prison that is also changing its focus to a remand and resettlement prison; we will see men at beginning and end of their time in prisons, both are times of transition in the community and require a co-ordinated approach to continuity of care with other services.
