Job Description

The Lead Recovery Practitioner will be expected to perform a leading role in recovery and participate in providing a safe patient recovery environment.

Participating fully as a team member, including working in all areas of the theatre suite, sharing knowledge and information and supporting colleagues, to promote a cohesive team and the achievement of team objectives.

This is a full time role working 37.5hrs per week – working rotational day shifts (no nights)

The attractive and competitive salary for this role is between £45,754 - £51,000 and will be dependent upon skills and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure all staff check and prepare equipment prior to use and any faults reported to the Theatre Co-ordinator after completing the WEB TMA.
  • To develop and maintain effective working relationships with Consultants and other health professionals and to ensure that prescribed treatment is carried out.
  • To provide leadership, support and guidance to staff in the appropriate staffing and allocation of recovery duties.
  • To ensure the cost effective and appropriate use of resources with consideration and due regard to budgetary control.
  • To motivate members of staff, achieve high morale and promote effective communication with the department.
  • Act up or deputise for the Coordinator when required

Skills & Experience

  • NMC or HCPC Registration
  • Extensive experience in a similar post
  • Competent in airway management
  • Positive attitude
