Priory Hospital Burgess Hill (PHBH) supports both male and female patients with varying needs in its Specialist PD service, Low Secure, HDU and Acute Wards.  PHBH was rated Good by the CQC following their recent inspection.

 

PHBH is set in 11 acres of beautiful Sussex countryside, it has educational, occupational and sporting facilities, including a sports hall, tennis court and gymnasium, along with various communal recreation areas. There is a library, art room and rehab practice kitchen. The site also facilitates and runs recovery college courses

 

PHBH hosts a number of staff events throughout the year including an annual Summer BBQ to celebrate staff long service awards. The hospital also has a well attended CPD programme and supports staff in their professional and career development.

We are currently look for a full time Clinical Psychologist to join our Therapies team in supporting the development of a hospital wide Psychology provision. We would like to hear from enthusiastic and skilled individuals who are able to work collaboratively as part of the Multidisciplinary Team to provide a high quality of care to our patients.

 

The individual we are looking for will be experienced in complex assessment and formulation to help determine the treatment needs of individual service users and will be confident to make treatment recommendations for sharing with prospective mental health services. They will have an interest in engaging complex clients and working with them using short-term creative methods. They will also have an understanding of Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focused approaches. The role will include providing consultation to staff teams, training, running Reflective Practice sessions, writing risk assessments and providing brief individual and group interventions, to meet the needs of the population.
