We have recently been successful in our bid for £30 million of national funding to develop an Integrated Front Door, expand our Emergency Department, purchase land for potential expansion and to help us develop new models of care, such as an intensive rehabilitation offer. And we have many more ambitious plans. This is a great and exciting milestone which will help us to maintain quality and safety for people in Swindon and the surrounding areas over the coming years.

Start with us as a Band 4 until you get your NMC pin and move to a Band 5.

Opportunities are now available for newly qualified or soon to qualify nurses to join our Graduate Programme at the Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Swindon.

Comprehensive package of training and support including a 12 month Preceptorship programme either in department or as part of the Stepping Up Programme. Inclusive support with in house clinical skills and mandatory training, regular clinical supervision, annual performance reviews, and regular development reviews. Access to the Stepping up Preceptorship Programme commencing during your first week of employment and support by our excellent Academy Team. During this programme, you will enhance your clinical expertise, sharpen your critical thinking and cover a range of clinical competencies. Clinical Supervisors working alongside you to support, teach and assist you with any areas where you feel you need further support.

Apprentices are exempt from DBS payment.
