Our client is the major Health facility on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands. We are seeking an enthusiastic Band 5 Staff Nurse to join their busy mixed Paediatric Ward and Neonatal Unit team.
The Paediatric Unit is a nine-bedded ward, providing all Acute Paediatric care for the Island. The Neonatal Unit manages infants from 32/40 and stablises and transfers off-island smaller infants if required.
This is a rotational role working between both units and as such is an opportunity to develop and maintain a wide range of skills.

Please note; Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system, but have applied their own salary scale.
The current Guernsey Band 5 salary is up to £34,173 plus higher penalty rates; 36% evening/Saturday and 72% Sunday/BH.

The island of Guernsey is in the Channel Islands and has a population of 65,000. It has some of Britain's finest and best-kept beaches, an especially mild and sunny climate, and an offbeat, historic harbor town in St. Peter's Port, the island's capital.

The States of Guernsey delivers a diverse range of healthcare services within the hospital, and supporting people in the wider community.
Their Health Service provides excellent Paediatric care, supported by Great Ormond Street, London, with modern equipment and Nurses recruited to a very high standard.

Person requirements
Registered Nurse with full NMC registration.
Experience in either a mixed General Paediatric Ward and/or Neonatal setting, but newly qualified Nurses are welcome to apply.
Adult-trained Nurses with at least two years full-time experience in an Acute Paediatric Ward setting.
