Salary: c £9.18 per hour + benefits

Description: This national charity operates nine rural and urban communities across England providing a range of accommodation and activities for adults with learning disabilities, mental health problems and other support needs. From wood and weavery workshops, to farming, retail and hospitality opportunities, all of their activities are aimed at helping people grow and develop by finding their skill and passion.

Their centre near Watford helps 50 adults with a range of learning disabilities. A fully comprehensive support package includes the choice of activities in our workshops where skills are developed, and friendships forged.

They are looking for motivated support worker's to join their community, working on a shift rota basis, typically full time (37.5hrs) but they will also consider Part-time hours. Shifts are arranged to meet the needs of the people they support and may include sleep in’s as well as day shifts.

They are looking for people who ideally have a working experience of; awareness of Learning Disabilities, challenging and repetitive behaviour’s, or autism; however, personal/life experiences are also highly considered or those candidates wanting to make a difference for others.

Person Specification Candidates will Ideally have a QCF Level 2/NVQ II qualification in Social Care or be willing to work towards this qualification during employment.
