Physical Health Nurse, The Woodhouse

Elysium Healthcare has a network of over 50 services strategically placed across England and Wales.

The Woodhouse hospital is a 44-bed facility that provides a specialist treatment and rehabilitation service for men with complex conditions and challenging behaviours in small, units. Many patients at The Woodhouse present with co-morbid conditions such as mental health problems, personality disorder and forensic histories. The units are staffed independently by a dedicated team of nurses and support workers and can offer locked rehabilitation where required.  Case formulation and treatment is led by a full clinical multidisciplinary team.

There are 2 clinical pathways at The Woodhouse hospital. These are an autistic spectrum condition pathway and a learning disability/locked rehabilitation pathway. The range of units on the site also allows a care pathway to be provided for each person so that they are able to move progressively to smaller and more independent units prior to discharge back into the community.

Annual salary: to be discussed at interview

Hours per week: 22.5-37.5 (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm but may be some shift work)

Our Physical Health Nurse role involves:

• All aspects of physical health needs of clients
• Health promotion
• Healthy lifestyle work

• To work across all units at The Woodhouse
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team

To be successful as a Physical Health Nurse, you’ll need:

• Previous experience in mental health, LD
• Experience of diabetes, epilepsy
• Public Health qualification or experience
• Would suit a practice nurse or similar role experience
• NMC valid PIN
