A leading private hospital in Oxford currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced RGN with a background in acute nursing care to work as Matron/Head of Clinical Services RGN.

Details of this Matron/Head of Clinical Services RGN position and what the hospital is offering:

As RGN Matron/Head of Clinical Services, you will focus on the clinical leadership and management of staff along with taking the lead on clinical governance for the site.   You will contribute to service development and budgetary management, ensuring a cost-effective service which doesn’t compromise on quality of care.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Senior Band 7 looking to make the next step in management, and applicants for this Matron/Head of Clinical Services RGN post should meet the following criteria:

  • Qualified and registered with the NMC as a Level 1 Adult Nurse/RGN
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in an acute ward setting, ideally also with outpatients/day surgery/ambulatory care setting
  • Proven experience of line managing and leading clinical teams and services and able to demonstrate clinical credibility
  • Confident managing budgets and resources, ideally with some experience of this within the private sector
  • Well organised, with strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills and the ability to motivate a clinical team
  • Have completed post-registration studies including a professional management qualification and further clinical studies relevant to this role
