A large nursing home in Larne is currently looking to recruit an experienced Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) to work as Sister/Charge Nurse on a full-time, permanent basis.

What the home is offering and details of this RGN/RMN/RNLD Charge Nurse position:

• Full-time hours of 40 per week on a permanent basis, which includes some supernumerary hours
• Day shifts only, plus some on-call duties
• Excellent rates of pay of £17.15 per hour, plus great overtime rates

• Support with NMC revalidation

As RGN/RMN/RNLD Sister/Charge Nurse, in addition to managing a caseload of residents, you will lead shifts, coordinate care and support junior nursing staff, playing a key role in the day to day management of the home. 

You will contribute to staffing rotas, manage and monitor care plans and liaise with colleagues and external healthcare professionals to ensure residents’ needs are fully met.

The skills, qualifications and qualities required in a Sister/Charge Nurse:

• NMC registered Adult/General Nurse/RGN, Mental Health Nurse/RMN or Learning Disabilities Nurse/RNLD
• Demonstrate previous experience working in a UK nursing home setting
• Good communication and interpersonal skills and confident leading shifts and coordinating care
• Ideally have completed a recognised mentoring or NVQ Assessing qualification, or willing to undertake this
