An experienced RGN with experience in a managerial role within an orthopaedic and spinal surgical ward setting is required to work as Surgical Ward Manager in one of London’s leading private hospitals.
This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK’s best rated private hospitals and details of this RGN Surgical Ward Manager position are as follows:
• 37.5 hours per week on a permanent basis

You will be joining a state-of-the-art ward that specialises in general orthopaedics, spinal injections and surgery and trauma, and occasionally also caters to general medical and surgical patients to meet hospital needs.
As RGN Surgical Ward Manager you will oversee the day to day clinical and operational management of the Ward, effectively managing staff, budgets and resources. You will promote best practices of care are delivered and will participate in Clinical Governance, Audits and investigations when required.
Candidates for this Surgical Ward Manager RGN position should be:
• Level 1 Adult Nurse/RGN with up to date NMC registration
• Have completed a recognised mentorship qualification such as ENB998
• Extensive and current experience within an orthopaedic surgical setting in, ideally a private hospital environment
• Significant experience within a senior role, being accustomed to working alongside external stakeholders and developing clinical pathways
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer care skills and a good standard of computer literacy
• Strong and effective management skills with a positive and proactive leadership style
• Flexible to shift patterns and able to take part in on-call duties
