We are looking for an enthusiastic well motivated individual to join the DHU safeguarding team as a Safeguarding Assistant. The potholder will work within both Children’s and Adults safeguarding arena ensuring that vulnerable children and adults engaging with DHU are identified and safeguarded.

The post includes a variety of activities including preparing and delivering training to DHU staff, assisting the Child and Adult Safeguarding leads in all aspects of audit, quality assurance, report writing etc, Liaising and dealing with referrals to Social Care and Child health services and supporting staff in DHU with safeguarding issues.

The DHU safeguarding team forms part of the overall corporate governance structure and covers all contracts held by DHU across the East Midlands which adds to the interest and variety of the role.
