ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Specialist Care Assistant at a Barchester care home, you'll help residents enjoy each day by making sure they get the quality care and support they deserve. We'll look to you to get to know each residents' needs and make sure they have active, tailored plans to safeguard their nutrition and hydration. You'll also be responsible for making your team aware of any of our residents' altered needs, and monitoring things like weight, liquid intake and blood pressure. In this role, you can expect to undertake work that's as varied as it is rewarding, whether you're supporting residents with their food and drink or following their care plans to the letter. Across everything you do, you'll provide support and companionship - and share great moments and memories too. As a Specialist Carer, you have the opportunity to put your dedication and skills to meaningful use and develop your career in a fulfilling environment.

ABOUT YOU
You'll need to have empathy, a can-do approach and excellent communication skills to join us as a Specialist Care Assistant. We'll look for an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, demonstrable knowledge of nutrition and hydration, and a willingness to learn as we'll give you all the training you need to thrive. Above all, you'll have real compassion for all our residents in order to deliver the highest standard of care and support.
