We successfully won the contract to deliver the 0 - 19 Healthy Child Programme for the county, working across School Nursing, Health Visiting and the new Health Business Centre teams.

The School Nursing team (countywide) will provide each school in the county with a named health professional. You will work with children and young people, both individually and in groups, to promote healthy lifestyles and improve their resilience.

The Health Visiting team (countywide) will deliver the healthy child programme and work with families from the ante-natal period to the child age of 5.

The Health Business Centre team (Ipswich) will be at the forefront, offering service users and stakeholders a single point of access. Staff nurses will support a clinically led duty and triage service responding to clinical communications into the service.

Duties may include:

  • working 1:1 with children, young people and their families
  • running workshops
  • providing drop-in clinics
  • undertaking developmental assessments and child health clinics
  • supporting health visitors by delivering on selected universal and
  • universal plus pathways for children and their families
  • offering information, clinical advice and guidance to all service
  • users i.e. minor illnesses, accident prevention, infant feeding by
  • telephone, email or webchat.
  • promote ChatHealth for the 0 - 19 service responding to children,
  • young people and their families (a secure and confidential text
  • messaging service).

We are looking for enthusiastic and skilled staff nurses to join us as we start this work from September 2019.
