Junior Sister / Charge Nurse – Ansty Ward
Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust (BSUH) is an acute teaching hospital working across two sites, The Royal Sussex County Hospital (RSCH) in Brighton and the Princess Royal Hospital (PRH) in Haywards Heath.
We provide District General Hospital services to our local population. We treat over three quarters of a million patients each year and employ over 7000 people.
Ansty Ward is based at The Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath.
We are situated a stone’s throw to the South Downs National Park, a 10 minute train ride to Brighton and a 50 minute train ride to London. We have great transport links, with the A23 close by and Gatwick is a 15 minute train ride.
We currently have a vacancy for a Junior Sister / Charge Nurse to join our vibrant and diverse team.
We are looking for an experienced nurse to join the team to assist the Ward Manager in managing a 26 bed Urology and Digestive Diseases Ward. We are a fast paced ward which also cares for some Day Surgery patients.
The successful candidate will be motivated with effective leadership skills. You will be able to work autonomously whilst also being an important part of the multidisciplinary team.
As a Junior Sister / Charge Nurse on Ansty Ward, you will be required to deputise for the Ward Manager on occasions. You main duties will also include staff supervision, Appraisals, as well as direct patient care.
Ideally you will have significant surgical nursing experience.
