School of Nursing and Midwifery

With its vision to be the provider of choice of first class contemporary education, informed by research and innovation, the School of Nursing & Midwifery is establishing a unique innovative engagement across clinical partners through the embedding of research focused academic units in local NHS Trusts to drive forward co-produced clinical research, promote inter-professional working, embed evidence based learning in practice and offer a framework for clinical academic careers.

To be part of this vision, the School is looking for an exceptional individual with experience in Advanced Practice to join the team to develop and promote our MSc Advanced Professional Practice Programme. We are expanding our provision to ensure that we meet the needs of the changing workforce in the health sector and in doing so, we are committed to providing students with innovative and high quality postgraduate programmes that offer first class education to support career progression. You will be an experienced educationalist able to provide academic leadership, across teaching, enterprise and research. We work closely with our placement providers and you will have demonstrable experience in building, developing and maintaining networks with our various stakeholders and partners.

We encourage applications from highly motivated individuals, who hold current registration as an Adult Nurse on Sub Part 1 of the Nursing and Midwifery Council register, or as a registered Allied Health Professional with the Health and Care Professions Council. You will ideally have a Higher Degree in health or a related subject and hold an NMC and HE recognised teaching qualification, we will consider applicants who are currently working towards this or who are willing to do so. You will have experience working as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner in any clinical setting.

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis and regular travel will be required.

This vacancy will involve working with children and/or vulnerable adults and any appointment will be subject to receipt of clearance for the Protection of Children from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
