Two exciting opportunities have arisen for a Band 5 RN/ODP Theatre Scrub Practitioner within the Theatre Department and Critical Care the William Harvey Hospital.

A medical school will be opening in east Kent in 2020 with 100 training places a year.

We have excellent full time and part time opportunities for Registered Nurses within the Critical Care department at The William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.

We are a busy 14 bedded mixed level unit admitting emergency and elective admissions from a variety of specialities ( shortly increasing to 16 beds).  We are a friendly, welcoming team, working within a dynamic, responsive and growing unit. The Critical Care Outreach team is well embedded into the day to day working of the unit and together contribute significantly to the trust wide deteriorating patient strategy.

As a unit we pride ourselves on delivering consistent high standards of holistic care. This is reflected in our ICNARC data, performance metrics and feedback from patients, relatives and visitors to our unit.

We offer a supportive environment with an extensive induction programme based upon the STEPS national competencies for critical care nurses. This in combination with self-directed study will assist you in caring for critically ill patients.

We are seeking enthusiastic, caring and self- motivated staff nurses; who aspires in making a positive contribution to care given to critically ill patients.

Ideally the candidate will have acute post registration experience, however we would welcome applications from newly qualified staff with acute placement experience, who are qualifying within the next 4 months.

We will provide you with a structured Preceptorship programme, a range of rotational opportunities to enable development of skills across patient pathways, and access to development opportunities with our excellent links with Canterbury Christchurch University
