Ward Manager Band 7 Registered Nurse - AFC banding points 26-34

Salary: AfC Band 7 Pay Points 26-34 (£44,347 - £50,549 pa including HCA Supplement) 

Hours: 37.5 per week

Royal Trinity Hospice is the oldest hospice in the UK and we are proud of our 28 bed, award-winning inpatient unit that provides specialist care to around 500 patients per year.  The unit has two wards and each is led by a Ward Manager who ensures their team is focused, competent and supported to deliver exceptional care of the highest quality.

We are now recruiting our second Ward Manager to join the team, working closely with the Head of Inpatient Services to make a real difference to the lives of people affected by life limiting conditions.

Responsibilities of a Royal Trinity Hospice Ward Manager

• Clinical expert who inspires others to deliver the highest quality care
• Lead and maintain a nursing culture, which is open to change, new ideas and concepts.

Skills and experience required

• NMC registration.
• Band 6 and/or 7 experience with up to date knowledge and skills.
• Leadership and management style consistent with a flexible, proactive approach.
• Passionate about caring for adults with a life-limiting condition
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
