Company

Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT) is one of the largest acute trusts in North East London and has more than 900 beds on 43 wards.

Our Trust covers two sites – Queen’s Hospital in Romford and King George Hospital in Ilford.  Both sites have good transport links by road and public transport.

We operate two emergency departments and offer a full range of acute services. We have a neuroscience centre, a cancer centre, and a hyper acute stroke unit to provide specialist care. In addition we were the first Trust in the UK to introduce Varian Halcyon radiotherapy which helps reduce treatment times for cancer patients.

We have a real sense of community and togetherness. We care for a population of around 750,000 and have around 6,500 staff with over 500 volunteers.

Exciting opportunities are available for Band 5, Band 6 and Band 7 nurses.  Our roles are immensely rewarding and we offer flexible working patterns to enhance your work life balance.

Training and development of our staff is important to us. We have a range of professional development courses to support your career development. If you are newly qualified you will have access to a Preceptorship programme.

Consistent support is offered by our senior managers as well as our practice development nurses and education team.

You can apply to work with us today by visiting our website: www.bhrhospitals.nhs.uk or by calling the recruitment nurse on 01708 435 215.
