About the role and our service

Our small, friendly and supportive team is keen to hear from a qualified Occupational Health Nurse who is experienced at supporting the health and wellbeing of a diverse workforce.  Our current clients include administrative and support staff, healthcare and specialist staff, education professionals and a wide range of manual workers including railways and highways.   A background of or specific experience with mental health or musculo-skeletal conditions is particularly welcome.

Relocation

For this post we offer reimbursement of interview expenses, upon provision of receipts, and also a relocation package.  Staff appointed for a term of 12 months or less may be reimbursed to a maximum of £1,000 inclusive of VAT and staff appointed for a term of 12 months or more may be reimbursed to a maximum of £7,000 inclusive of VAT.

The Isle of Man also offers a National Insurance Holiday Scheme which allows newly employed, relocated or returning residents to apply for a refund on their National Insurance contributions for their first year of living or returning to the Isle of Man, with refunds capped at £4,000. Company

Newly opened in 2003 Noble’s Hospital is the islands’ only District General Hospital. It is equipped to the very latest standards with a total complement of 317 beds. We provide a comprehensive range of services typical of most District General Hospitals including acute medicine, general & orthopaedic surgery, maternity, paediatrics, SCBU, ITU & CCU. There is also a stroke unit and thrombolysis is performed on a 24/7 basis in ED.

We have a combined education & training centre on site with a medical library, seminar rooms, lecture theatre and state of the art simulation suite.

Our Island’s healthcare is provided by a National Health Service based on that in the UK but is independently financed and administered within the Isle of Man. Many of the changes brought about to the UK NHS, as a consequence of the reorganisations of recent years have not been adopted here. Although we are spate from the UK NHS, nursing on the island is regulated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
