Registered Staff Nurse

City Community Hospital, Oxford

Band 5, £24,214-£30,112 pro-rata, per annum

Full, part time and flexible working options available

Are you a registered nurse looking to join a service where you can use your expertise and compassion in a busy and supportive environment?

If so, our team could be just who you are looking for.

About the role

You will be caring for patients who have come to us from medical, trauma, renal and surgical wards for rehabilitation and complex discharge management.  You will have the privilege of caring for our patients who are coming to the end of their life as well of those with a wide variety of other conditions.

About you

You may be newly qualified or an experienced nurse working in an acute hospital, community setting or nursing home.  Your enthusiasm for providing a high-quality service will be matched by your ability to work collaboratively with our patients, family members and carers.

About the team

Our main focus is on rehabilitation, to facilitate this there is a strong therapeutic presence within our team.  We are a nurse led unit which will provide you with the opportunity to use your decision making and autonomous nursing skills.

About your development

We offer both personal and clinical development opportunities, in addition to regular professional and clinical supervision, Personal Development Reviews, and support for Continual Professional Development activities.

Our new Flyer programme is a two-year development programme for supporting newly qualified nurses to become excellent leaders of care.  The programme has preceptorship at its heart but provides staff with the opportunity to gain academic accreditation during the first preceptorship year and the chance to gain further accreditation in their second year of qualifying.

For further information, to discuss flexible working or to arrange an informal visit please contact Jane Hudson, Matron, by calling 07557191515 or emailing jane.hudson@oxfordhealth.nhs.uk
