Endoscopy - Full and Part time Registered Nursing Vacancies available

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated Registered Nurses, with a passion for Endoscopy or those who would like to explore a career change, to join our team.

The Endoscopy Unit at NNUH is the largest in the UK and operates Monday to Friday; this role requires some on call working however you will not be working nights or weekends as part of your standard working week.

Our dynamic and friendly department offers nurses the opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team in a variety of settings including pre-operative assessment clinics, assisting with therapeutic and diagnostic patient procedures and caring for patients in recovery.

Endoscopy has benefited from a huge investment with the construction of the state of the art Quadram Institute on site at NNUH. We can now carry out 40,000 procedures each year making NNUH home to the largest Endoscopy Unit in Europe

The Quadram Institute which opened in December 2018 has also created new interfaces between food science, gut biology, human health and disease, capitalising on the world-class bioscience cluster based at the Norwich Research Park. NNUH clinicians work alongside scientists to conduct research to improve human health and wellbeing throughout life.

To find out more visit the Quadram Institute website available via the links section on this job.

NNUH is also a centre for the National Bowel Cancer Screening Programmes and we are also a centre of excellence for endoscopy training, offering approved courses for doctors and nurses.

We are fully JAG (Joint Advisory Group) accredited and at our last assessment the endoscopy team was congratulated for facilitating high quality patient care across all disciplines. We are a large and dynamic department, treating more than 28,000 patients in 2018.

Benefits of joining our expanding Unit include:

- Great opportunities for training and progression

- Encouragement to develop advanced clinical skills

- Shift flexibility over three-session days, with the requirement for some on-call working

- Working alongside colleagues from a variety of clinical specialties

- Strong links with clinical research and studies to advance treatment techniques

- Full and part-time opportunities available

We would welcome applications from candidates without previous experience in Endoscopy, but experience in an acute Trust is desirable.
