Site Nurse Practitioner

Hours: 30 hrs per week

Salary: Band 6 £30,401 - £38,046 / Band 7 £37,570 - £44,688

At Dr Grays Hospital, Elgin we are looking to build on an already established Site Practitioner team who will work predominantly out of hours, however this is being reviewed may require to cover day shift.  The applicant must be able to demonstrate high quality communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to inspire, empower and motivate the nursing team. 

The candidate should ideally have worked in a leadership role post and have a good understanding of the different specialities therefore experience in acute medicine and/or surgery/orthopaedic and paediatrics is essential and knowledge or experience in patient pathways will be advantageous.

The post holder will be a role model having previously demonstrated excellent leadership and change management skills in relation to team motivation, delivering on service provision, redesign and quality improvement and be able to provide expert professional and clinical advice.  You should have a genuine interest in balancing exemplary patient centred care with the need to maintain appropriate safe flow of patients through the department at all times.

You should have evidence of continued professional development along with all standard mandatory and statutory training up to date. You should be creative enthusiastic and poses a can do attitude with the wish to offer our patients the best experience possible whilst in our hospital.

The successful candidate will commence as a Band 6 Site Nurse Practitioner – leading to Band 7 when training is complete (as per Annexe 21).
