We have over 80 consultants whom are experienced in diagnosing and treating all forms of cancer, using the latest medical developments to provide advanced treatment options. In addition to this, our haematology units enables nurses to deliver high standards of holistic care to their patients and deal with patients who have a variety of haematological malignancies.  

With ongoing funding, our hospitals continue to stay at the forefront of ground-breaking cancer treatment techniques and technology in the UK.

Job Description

As a Lead Oncology Clinical Practice Facilitator, you will be responsible for enhancing professional practice and the provision of quality patient care by providing evidence-based, quality educational programs and activities that promote professional competency for nursing, inter-professional and non-licensed clinical staff working in cancer roles. You will lead this service across a number of HCA facilities including Princess Grace and The Harley Street Clinic. 

This is a full time 37.5 role working Monday to Friday per week.

The attractive and competitive salary for this role is between £45,00 - £50,000 (dependent upon skills and experience).

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development, coordination and managing, facilitating conducting and evaluating competency in clinical setting
  • Lead development of entire orientation/onboarding process for nursing
  • Participate in the design and identification of educational activities to address practice gaps for identified target audiences which may include license and non-licensed healthcare personnel
  • Promote and integrate evidence-based practice to continuously improve practice in the clinical setting. Additionally, promote research and quality improvement in patient care settings
  • Collaborate with interprofessional teams to share experience in planning and decision making
  • Support strategic planning and business development within the clinical education area of responsibility that may include technology advances and other opportunities to drive differentiation to support the growth agenda

Skills & Experience

  • Registered General Nurse with valid NMC pin
  • Post graduate module in practice education
  • Oncology experience is essential
  • NHS or Private ward experience
  • Passionate about patient care, respectful, responsible and committed
