Our amazing Older Person Medicine are looking for staff nurses who share their dedication for this special generation to join one of their varied teams! Regardless of where you’re working now, be it an acute hospital, nursing home or in the community, if you share our values we welcome your application.  If you currently work in a nursing home or community and are worried about moving back to an acute setting we can offer additional support through our fully supported Return to Acute Nursing Programme, which will provide you with the education and supernumerary period to support you back into the acute environment.

Our wards include Rehabilitation ward, longer stay wards, short stay wards, OPAU (Admissions Unit) and Stroke, and our patients benefit from care pathway that sees them treated by the right experts at the right time and have access to the dementia gardens and specialist therapy teams to assist with their rehabilitation.

It’s a very exciting time here in Dorset with a recent review kick-starting major improvements to the way healthcare is provided. Among which is the proposed merge with fellow acute hospital Poole Hospital.
