Port Regis is one of the country’s leading preparatory schools; an established and successful, co-educational, day and boarding school for children from the ages of two to thirteen. Our reputation has been achieved due to our outstanding teaching and results, superb pastoral care and academic, sporting and musical facilities.
We are seeking to appoint a Nurse to join our team of Nurses from 30 October 2019, or as soon as possible thereafter.
Role Profile
The successful candidate will be a registered nurse with general or paediatric training. They will have a kind, caring and cheerful nature and work well within our close-knit team of nurses.
Hours of work
Term-time only (with some pre term preparation), on average 34 weeks a year. Details of our term dates can be found on our website.
You will be required to work in accordance with the School’s nursing rota. Your shift pattern will normally require you to work:
- Tuesdays 07.00 to 20.00, on-call overnight
- Wednesdays 07.00 to 20.00, on-call overnight and a handover from 07.00 to 07.30 the following morning
- Fridays - an alternate pattern of 07.00 to 15.30 or 15.00 to 20.00, on-call overnight and a handover from 07.00 to 07.30 the following morning
- One weekend in three – Saturdays 07.00 to 20.00 and on-call overnight, Sundays 07.00 to 18.30. If you work on a weekend you will not be required to work on the Friday beforehand.
When you are on overnight duty, you will be provided with single overnight accommodation near the Health Centre.
We will expect you to be flexible in relation to your hours of work in accordance with the School’s needs and equally, we will be flexible and try to accommodate your preferred working days/times where possible.
