ABOUT THE ROLE
A Golden Hello is just one of the ways we’ll reward you when you join Barchester in this role.

As a Care Practitioner at a Barchester care home, you’ll carry out a range of tasks that help us give our residents the quality care and support they deserve. Your role will involve taking responsibility for medication, wound management, continence, physiological assessment and care planning under the guidance of the on-site Registered Nurse. The role of Care Practitioner is the highest level of Care Assistant we have, so you can expect to lead, motivate and inspire a team of carers. This is a very rewarding and fulfilling role that will give you real scope to make a difference to the lives of our residents, along with plenty of training and development opportunities.

ABOUT YOU
You could be a qualified Care Practitioner, or you might be a Senior Care Assistant ready to train and make the step up. To take that next step, you must already have a NVQ Level 3, ideally with an apprenticeship, and/or GCSE Maths & English at Grade C or above (or equivalent). Whatever your experience level, you’ll have a passion for delivering the best in person-centred care and support. You should be confident when it comes to supporting a nurse with medication, assessments and care planning, and you’ll have the ability to supervise and get the best out of the care team.

REWARDS PACKAGE
As well as a competitive salary, Barchester offers one of the best rewards packages in the care sector. Your generous benefits would include:

• A £500 Golden Hello*
• Free learning and development
• Automatic enrolment into our profit share scheme
• A range of holiday, retail and leisure discounts
• Unlimited access to our Refer a Friend bonus scheme

If you’d like to use your motivational and people skills in an organisation that provides the quality care you’d expect for your loved ones, this is a rewarding place to be.

Our Care Home Manager is always happy to welcome you into the home for an informal chat, simply pop in to find out more about working at Barchester.
