We are recruiting for Rehabilitation, Out Patients, In Patients, Theatre and Pre-Assessment units
About the role
As one of our Bank Nurses, you will:
- Provide the highest possible standard of nursing care for the patients and their families
- Ensure that an ongoing welcoming, caring and safe environment is provided for the patients
- Undertake full pre assessment for minor and major surgery pathways
- Ensure legibility and accuracy of nursing records
- Monitor and assess patient’s condition and proposing/making changes to care plans as required
- Direct and participate in the manoeuvring and the positioning patients
- Hand over and transfer responsibility of care to colleagues, ensuring appropriate information and care is relayed
- Administer and control oral drugs used in the ward environment
- Be familiar with all departmental and emergency equipment
- Ensure that nursing procedures are implemented and maintained in accordance with Clinical Governance policies
About you
-
To be considered for the role of Registered Nurse, you’ll need to demonstrate:
- Registered Nurse (Level 1 or 2)
- An awareness of research and evidence based practice in the clinical setting
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Interest & academic ability to undertake further training within a particular speciality
- Experience in the use of computers
- Good communication skills written & verbal, with the ability to demonstrate fluency, clarity and effectiveness at all levels
- Effective influencing skills with peer group & senior healthcare professionals
- Teaching & mentoring skills
- Ability to prioritise workload, instruct & direct others
