‘New investment and improved facilities’

‘Come and work in a range of different settings’

At United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT), we’re proud of how far we’ve come, but recognise there’s still lots more to do – that’s where you come in!

We’ve made huge improvements but there’s never been a better time to either start your career or make your next move with us.

New investment and improved facilities - including our new neonatal and maternity facilities, in addition to multi-million-pound investment in our A&E facilities, means you’ll get the right resources to deliver the ‘excellence in rural healthcare’ we aspire to.

We’ve worked hard to create an environment where you’re always trusted and supported to do your job and encouraged to grow, surrounded by a team that has your wellbeing at heart. If you’re an experienced healthcare professional or just starting out, ULHT is an ideal place for you to do great work.

First and foremost, you’ll live and breathe our values of patient-centred, respect, excellence, safety and compassion – these are key to everything we do.

You’ll join a friendly and supportive team with a focus on acute and community children’s services, working across several sites in rural Lincolnshire. We’re looking for staff who put patients at the heart of everything they do, so you’ll need excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially with children of all ages.

Around 700,000 children and young people live in Lincolnshire, and we provide care in all sorts of settings, including inpatient, outpatient, schools and at home.

As you deliver our high standard of care to infants, children and their families, you’ll be their biggest advocate at all times, liaising with other healthcare providers or third parties as required. You’ll also actively participate in clinical supervision on a regular basis.

We are focussed on continually driving improvement and you will also be joining us at an exciting time with the first Lincolnshire Health Strategy for Children about to be published.

You may be an experienced nurse or just starting out in your career; either way we will be able to support you in terms of preceptorship or on-going training. You should have NMC registration along with RSCN, RN (Child) qualification.  We are also open to adult nurses wishing to undertake the conversion course.

Simply put, working for us means working for ‘one Trust, with every opportunity’. We’re absolutely committed to your career development, offering pioneering schemes that give you the right mix of skills and learning to take your career in any direction.

Our innovative Talent Academy was the first of its kind and has now been adopted nationally, offering a wide variety of programmes for all professions and career stages. We’re also introducing new roles such as the urgent care rotational post which could potentially be rolled out in other areas such as theatres and the community. On top of this, you’ll be entitled to the full range of NHS benefits, including flexible working, generous annual leave, an NHS pension, and staff accommodation.

If you want to make a difference to the care that Lincolnshire children and their families receive, come and join us ASAP - help us put the ‘you’ into ULHT.
