Nursing and ODP opportunities in Surgery

‘Flexible rotations in a range of different settings’

‘Come and join #TeamSurgery

At United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT), we’re proud of how far we’ve come, but recognise there’s still lots more to do – that’s where you come in!

We’ve made huge improvements but there’s never been a better time to either start your career or make your next move with us.

New investment and improved facilities - including our innovative medical and surgical units - means you’ll get the right resources to deliver the ‘excellence in rural healthcare’ we aspire to.

We’ve worked hard to create an environment where you’re always trusted and supported to do your job and encouraged to grow, surrounded by a team that has your wellbeing at heart. If you’re an experienced healthcare professional or just starting out, ULHT is an ideal place for you to do great work.

First and foremost, you’ll live and breathe our values of patient-centred, respect, excellence, safety and compassion – these are key to everything we do.

You’ll be working in one of our multi-disciplinary teams, providing patients with high quality care during the delivery of our clinical services. We have opportunities across a number of areas, including trauma and orthopaedics, intensive care, theatres and surgery. We can offer you a bespoke career journey, with rotational opportunities or look at employing you within a specific ward or speciality if you’d prefer.

You will be the biggest advocate for patients at all times, offering a personalised, compassionate service. You’ll also be a brilliant communicator with patients and colleagues alike, and able to help other team members with learning where possible.

You must be a registered nurse or ODP (with recent experience working in a theatre environment), have a sound knowledge of health and safety, infection control and an interest in developing your specialist skills further. Experience of mentoring students (ideally via a teaching and assessing course) and working in a peri-operative setting is desirable, but not essential.

Simply put, working for us means working for ‘one Trust, with every opportunity’. We’re absolutely committed to your career development, offering pioneering schemes that give you the right mix of skills and learning to take your career in any direction.

Our innovative Talent Academy was the first of its kind and has now been adopted nationally, offering a wide variety of programmes for all professions and career stages, including our Advanced Care Practitioner course. We’ll also encourage you to attend further training opportunities within two years of joining us to further support your development. On top of this, you’ll be entitled to the full range of NHS benefits, including flexible working, generous annual leave, an NHS pension, and staff accommodation.

Come and join us ASAP and help us put the ‘you’ into ULHT.
