Our Client is a co-educational independent boarding and day school in Edinburgh, with over two-thirds of its pupils in residence on campus. The school was originally a boarding school for boys only and became co-ed in 1983. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Nurse to join their Medical Centre team on a “full time/term time” basis.  The Medical Centre cares for the health and wellbeing of approximately 760 pupils aged 7-18 and staff in a boarding school environment twenty-four hours a day and is an integral part of our sector-leading pastoral care offering. Patient attendance is around forty each day with an extra twenty – forty pupils/staff per day during vaccination programmes.

The attendees range from those with minor illnesses to those of a more serious nature. In addition there is a high level of sports injuries particularly during rugby season. Routine vaccines and travel vaccines are prevalent on a daily basis as part of child wellbeing and preventative health care. The successful candidate will be a good team player, have excellent communication skills and be nurse qualified.  A competitive salary is on offer commensurate with this important term-time only role.
