Spire Tunbridge Wells Hospital is recruiting for a Director of Clinical Services to provide overall clinical leadership and operational management to all areas of the clinical and non-clinical service areas This a varied role where you will be working across all clinical areas of the hospital, and working collaboratively with numerous internal and group-level stakeholders.

Spire Tunbridge Wells is a 40 bedded acute hospital situated in rural Kent, located within five miles of Royal Tunbridge Wells and on the boundaries of West Sussex. The hospital offers a range of services and facilities including two operating theatres, a sterile services department, a dedicated endoscopy suite, and a diagnostic and imaging department with an MRI and CT scanner. There are outpatient and physiotherapy departments providing services six days a week

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Promote a cost effective, patient focused quality service for the continuing success of Spire Healthcare.
  • Provide clear focus on business results, maintaining the balance between quality healthcare delivery and sound financial performance.
  • Lead and implement the hospital’s clinical strategy and provide support and input to the hospital’s overall business strategy, consistent with corporate direction
  • Support the commercial development of clinical services including actively creating new business and innovative opportunities
  • Deputise for the Hospital Director in their absence

Who we're looking for:

  • NMC registration
  • Experience in a similar role or looking to step up from a Deputy role
  • Experience of management, motivation and development of teams in particular a track record of successfully applying performance management
  • Demonstrable evidence of change management and taking a key role in strategic management initiatives
