We are delighted to share that an exciting secondment has become available as an Interim Practice Educator within the Surgical Division, Band 7, until 31st March 2021.  We welcome applications for this full time development opportunity to join the Practice Education Team within Surgery.

The Practice Educator will provide specialist support to enable heath care practitioners, learners and teams to ensure delivery of first-class education and work based learning across NHS Grampian. This role will ensure strong collaborative working relationships with Higher and Further Education Institutes and NHS Education for Scotland (NES) and will require leadership skills, professional and clinical credibility.  Part of the Band 7 role within the team will be line management of Band 6 and Associate Practice Educator.

Applicants will be a Registered Nurse educated to Masters Level with a relevant teaching qualification.  Applicants must have a strong awareness of current educational priorities in relation to the Division of Surgery. Experience of education and student mentorship is essential. The applicant will be required to work closely with the current  Band 7 Educator in the team and deputise for the Divisional Lead Educator when required.

An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available to successful candidates.
