We are hiring 111 Clinical Advisors for our Contact Centres in located in Welwyn Garden City, Bedford and Peterborough.

HUC provides healthcare services across a number of counties in the East of England, including Luton & Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire & Peterborough, Hertfordshire and West Essex.

Our mission is to provide a local, clinically-led range of services, giving patients 24/7/365 urgent care access in an Out-of-Hospital environment. Putting the patient at the start and heart of our care.

When patients require healthcare advice or need to speak with a healthcare professional, patients can phone the NHS 111 service provided by HUC to access medical advice, assessment and treatment. We also provide a range of other healthcare services to support patients and GPs, including GP surgery services and urgent care centres.

The Role:

We are currently seeking Registered Nurses and Paramedics who are professional, enthusiastic and well-motivated with a passion for caring and able to build a rapport with our service users over the telephone.

As a Clinical Advisor for our NHS111 Service you will assess the health and clinical needs of people who use our services. Your critical thinking process and clinical judgement would be absolutely vital to agree a course of action using the NHS Pathways clinical triage system, to determine the next steps in their unscheduled care journey.

Role Expectations:

You must be a registered nurse or paramedic professional. (NMC, HCPC) with a minimum of 1-year front line experience and be able to:

  • Carry out complex clinical triage, providing assessment, advice and information to the patient
  • Utilise your professional judgement in referring callers to other agencies as appropriate
  • Respond to and assist call handlers in the management of critical situations

Shifts:

As we are an out of hours services all of our rotas do require you to work some hours during the evening and weekends. We are recruiting for Full and Part Time positions.

You will be paid to complete the NHS Pathways course & system training to prepare you for the role.
